The scene is from the TV Series called Midsomer Murders, Season 4., Episode 6. Tainted Fruit (United Kingdom 2001) Frederick Bentine-Brown (played by Miles Richardson) M/F Melissa Townsend (played by Lucy Punch), one slap with his hand on her bum, position of standing by the front entrance door of the house, in front of her friend Sally Rickworth (played by Claire Price), playfully. The impact of his hand is not visible.
Inside, arrogant millionaire Frederick Bentine-Brown is pursuing district nurse Sally Rickworth. Having proposed to her, Frederick dictates that any wife of his must give up her career. Sally resists, saying she loves her job. Frederick arrogantly tells her it is “non-negotiable” and smugly adds: “Well, certainly keep the uniform. In fact, I insist upon it.”
Frederick opens the front door, revealing Melissa Townsend waiting on the doorstep. Frederick greets her and steps outside, asking Melissa to intervene: “Try and talk some sense into the girl, would you? Sorry, can't stay. Have to be in Geneva for supper.”
Frederick is an entitled, aristocratic playboy who treats everyone around him with effortless condescension. He knows Melissa well from local country-club circles. As he delegates the task of talking sense into Sally to Melissa, he punctuates his exit by casually swatting Melissa on the posterior as he passes her on the threshold. It highlights his total lack of boundaries, his flirtatious arrogance, and his habit of treating women as playthings.
