Bà Nội Kính Yêu, My Beloved Grandma

 The scene is from a short web drama called Bà Nội Kính Yêu, My Beloved Grandma (Vietnam 2024) Grandma Tam F/f younger granddaughter Cát Tiên, spanking with a switch, position of lying down on a bamboo bed, in front of her older sister Bồ Câu.
Reason for the punishment is that Cát Tiên got into a physical fight with a neighbor girl named Na. Even though Cát Tiên was provoked by insults (Na falsely accused her of stealing sandals from the trash and claimed their grandma was a beggar), the grandmother strictly forbids violence and insists on teaching her grandchildren self-control and good conduct.
Cát Tiên collected discarded sandals to sell for scrap, but Na confronted her, accused her of stealing, and mocked her family as beggars. This led to a scuffle. Grandma arrived, apologized to defuse the conflict, and brought Cát Tiên home.
Inside their bamboo hut, Grandma strictly instructs Cát Tiên to lie down flat on the bamboo bed. She takes a thin switch and strikes her a few times across the buttocks, scolding her for fighting.
The older sister, Bồ Câu, steps in to defend Cát Tiên, explaining that she only lashed out because Na repeatedly insulted their grandmother by calling her a beggar.
Grandma puts the switch away, tells Cát Tiên to sit up, and gently asks if she is hurting. Cát Tiên tearfully admits it hurts, but explains she was overwhelmingly angry that someone insulted her beloved grandmother. Grandma comforts both girls and shares an important moral lesson: “A short-tempered person who relies on violence will never accomplish great things in life. Good and honorable people never resolve problems with violence.” -
