大人物, Da Ren Wu, Big Shot, Episode 3.

The spank itself is preceded by scenes when two maidservants from Miss Chu Chu enter abruptly and angrily accuse Tian Sisi of stealing their mistress’s weapon. Sisi initially plays innocent, retorting defiantly.

Master Tian demands the truth. Trapped, Sisi reluctantly has the weapon handed over, dismissively stating she was merely playing a harmless prank. Master Tian apologizes to the maidservants for his daughter’s lack of upbringing before they take their leave.

Filled with anger, Master Tian commands his retainer, Tian Fu, to bring out the wooden punishment looped cane – family discipline tool.

Sisi’s maidservant Tian Xin drops to her knees, begging Master Tian to strike her instead of her mistress. 

Yang Fan (newlywed son-in-law of the Master Tian) also steps in to de-escalate the situation, suggesting a verbal reprimand is sufficient. Master Tian firmly refuses, stating that the wrongdoer must face consequences and that without experiencing physical pain, she will never learn self-restraint.
