逐玉 aka Pursuit of Jade, Episode 4.

Just in time, an elderly villager, Uncle Zhao, steps in to defend them. Armed with a broom and a wooden stick, Uncle Zhao fiercely fights off the intruders, beating them and chasing them out of the house to protect the couple and their property. Later, while tending to Yan Zheng’s wounds, Fan Changyu realizes that it was Uncle Zhao who fought them off, as her husband’s injuries would have made it impossible for him to put up such a strong resistance.

The little girl, acting as the bailiff, then picks up a carpet beater and twice symbolically smacks Fan Changyu on the bottom to simulate the physical punishment of the court. It’s a moment showing their dedication to winning the upcoming lawsuit, which ends with Yan Zheng teaching her a modified version of the famous "Seven-Step Poem" to use as her defense in court.
