少年英雄方世玉 aka Young Hero Fang Shi Yu, Episode 1.

 These are from the TV Series called 少年英雄方世玉 aka Young Hero Fang Shi Yu, Episode 1. (Taiwan, Hong Kong 1999) 1. Mother Miao Cui Hua F/M son Fang Shi Yu, thrashing with a long thick rod on his posterior, position of lying on the ground, a bit later in front of his father. First, the son asks his mother to tie him up with a rope.

After Fang Shi Yu and his mother, Miao Cui Hua, cause chaos and destroy valuable items—including the father’s beloved orchid—the patriarch, Fang De, is angry and demands accountability. 

To avoid a genuine, harsh punishment from her husband, Miao Cui Hua takes matters into her own hands. She starts hitting her son, Fang Shi Yu, with a long rod. They are both playing a game: Shi Yu, who is legendary for his "copper skin and iron bones" (thanks to his mother’s medicinal baths), encourages her to hit him harder so the father will believe the punishment is real and calm down.

His younger son is full of energy and impossible to keep in one place. In this scene, the mother is supposed to be supervising his study session at the family ancestral altar. The mother pursues the young boy with a stick, but rather than a traditional scolding, the scene serves as an unconventional martial arts training session. Every time she swings, he leaps, hides under the table, and successfully dodging the blows. It is a brilliant display of how Miao Cui Hua’s parenting style inadvertently shaped her son into the legendary fighter he would eventually become—turning what was meant to be a punishment into a high-speed agility test.
