中國功夫少女組 aka Kung Fu Girls aka Kong shou dao shao nu zu aka Karate girls

The scene is from the movie called 中國功夫少女組 aka Kung Fu Girls aka Kong shou dao shao nu zu aka Karate girls (Taiwan, China 2003), the former Unknown Chinese movie 22. - Wu Sally, a manager of the karate group F/F one of the trainees Guo Ziyi (often referred to as Fei Fei), good beating with a thick stick on her butt, position of bent over with her hands holding onto a pole, in the presence of other female trainees. After the spanking, Fei Fei tells her fellow karate club members that she had never been whipped before in her life.

Sally forces the reluctant Fei Fei to bend over to receive a strict disciplinary hitting as a punishment for her carelessness. The other girls watch in shock, trying to plead for mercy for Fei Fei or arguing among themselves. Sally threatens them that if they don't stop begging for mercy for Fei Fei, she will punish them too.

During a mountain martial arts training session, the girls are supposed to focus on teamwork, discipline, and safety. Instead, they are clumsy, unfocused, and constantly bickering. Things escalate when Fei Fei carelessly swings her weapon and accidentally hits a fellow teammate. Fed up with their continuous lack of discipline and attitude, Sally decides to teach her a harsh lesson about right and wrong. Fei Fei talks back disrespectfully to the manager, which only reinforces the manager's conviction that she needs to be severely punished.

Before that, the manager, Sally, asks her teammates for one of them to give Fei Fei the disciplinary spanking. Since all of them refuse to do so, Sally ultimately takes on the task herself.

During the physical punishment, Tang Zheng (the head martial arts instructor and Sally’s former romantic partner) steps in. He intervenes to stop Sally, disagreeing with her disciplinary methods. This leads to a tense confrontation—and a brief, physical action-packed scuffle between Sally and Tang Zheng—before the punishment is finally brought to an end.

Later in the film, right around the 1-hour 16-minute mark, you can see a short montage featuring brief cuts of this exact scene and other past moments. This is a classic flashback sequence paired with a melodic soundtrack. At this point in the story, the group is falling apart and facing ultimate crisis and betrayal. The flashback serves as an emotional, nostalgic retrospective—reminding the audience of how far the girls have come, the hardships they shared, and the deep emotional bonds forged through all the pain and training.
