She does this because of the interference. Jack physically blocked her from carrying out the punishment. He showed defiance because openly challenged her authority and traditional methods of discipline.

    Note that It now been 8 years since the very promising film "Quest: The Truth Always Rises (2017)" is still in my collimator, alas, without result...
