Rocío de La Mancha

It is from the musical film called Rocío de La Mancha (Spain 1963) Rocío F/F Monique, short slapping with her hand on the backside, position of bent over and shifting, in front of Francis and another man. It takes place during a catfight between the women. Rocío was the first to physically attack Monique.

The protagonist Rocío (played by Rocío Dúrcal) takes matters into her own hands. At this point in the movie, Rocío is posing as Isabel, the long-lost daughter of the composer Francis, in an attempt to reunite him with her actual mother. Francis is a world-renowned composer and the biological father of the real Isabel and the husband of the singer María Luisa (known by her stage name, Berta Granada).

The conflict is between Rocío and Monique, a sophisticated but arrogant French diva. Monique is the star of Francis’s upcoming show and has grown jealous of the influence Rocío has over him. Monique views the Spanish girl as a threat to her career and her hold over Francis.

The tension boils over when Monique launches a verbal attack on Francis and his family. She insults his former wife (Rocío’s mother) and finally insults Francis’s masculinity.

She mocks him for being weak and choosing family sentiment over her stardom. Because Francis is a gentleman and won't strike a woman, Rocío decides to step in to defend her family’s honor and Francis’s dignity.
