Tom Brown's School Days 1940 (colorized and longer version)

 Those are from the film called Tom Brown's School Days (USA 1940) 1. We can just see the boy Tom holding himself his chastised bum at the end of this sequence. He broke school rules by fighting against a school bully, 2. The same headmaster M/m the same pupil Tom, twelve strokes probably with the birch, unknown position, in the headmaster's office, off-screen. He's grabbing and rubbing himself his sore backside as he makes his way back. The boy Tom admitted he stole a cart and not his friend is the thief. Some of his schoolmates are counting the blows. 

There's a rare and endearing scene at the beginning of this video where a boy who's about to be punished comes into the headmaster's office to remind him that he should have getting a birching from him for was eating toffee during class. The headmaster and a woman present there are smiling at this. In the second scene that follows that, a teacher promises a bully student lashes at six o'clock. The teacher says he feels to be stronger after tea. This is a colorized and longer version of the clip.
