Haiducii lui Saptecai, The Outlaws of Captain Anghel


These scenes are from the film called Haiducii lui Saptecai, The Outlaws of Captain Anghel (Romania 1971) Two scenes from this film were already published here in August 2020. In this update, a third scene has been added that we were previously unaware of. English subtitles have also been added, and the video is in better quality. 1. Anghel returns from exile after having been presumed dead and discovers that his lover Anița has married an old innkeeper. Anița believes that Anghel is already dead. In a fit of jealousy accuses her of betrayal, physically attacks her, and then begins beating her with a belt. Anița resists and explains her loneliness. The scene ends in a partial reconciliation, as their old feelings resurface, 2. Princess Ralu F/M lover, one stroke of a riding crop on his ass, position of standing. Princess Ralu (the ruler’s daughter, spoiled and vain) declares that she alone is allowed to wear a white satin skirt (a luxurious garment and a symbol of status). Sevastița (another woman, probably a concubine or the mistress of someone at court) appears at the fair wearing exactly such a white satin skirt. This enrages Ralu—she feels humiliated and insulted that someone of lower status would dare to dress like her. Ralu orders her lover Zvrențe to tear the skirt off Sevastița, tie her to a post, and give her one hundred lashes with a whip on her big, fat ass. Zvrențe refuses (out of fear or unwillingness), so Ralu strikes him, throws him out, and ultimately has the whipping of the Sevastița  carried out by another servant, 3. Servant M/F sentenced, publicly one hundred lashes with a whip on her bare backside, position of standing tied to a post, before witnesses and a crowd of onlookers, some of whom mock her. This scene directly follows the previous one, in which the princess asked her lover to whip the woman who had dared to wear the same outfit as the princess. The reason for this corporal punishment is purely Ralu’s vanity, jealousy over fashion, and desire for exclusivity—a typical expression of her spoiled nature and enjoyment of privileges at the princely court.     A creative (but accurate) translation of the final seconds of the first scene, when the angry princess passes the flogging sentence:
    "Go and tear that dress off, tie her to the pole and whip her big fat ass a hundred times!" Princess Ralu raged, smacking the rod she clutched in her white-knuckled little hand on the bed in rhythm to her words. No doubt, she wished Sevastita's slutty bare bottom cheeks were clenching and wiggling publicly to the sting and humiliation of these blows.

    Her sleepy bedmate, however, yawned with unconcern.

    "Forget it, Missy," he answered, laying his head back on his pillow, facing away from her. "There's no fire."
